Paris Hilton has reportedly dumped her boyfriend Good Charlotte star Benji Madden after nine months together.
The socialite called it quits claiming the pair were ‘just too different’.
‘They are just way too different,’ said a pal to The Sun.
‘He has helped her grow up and they want to stay friends. But essentially he is a bit controlling.’
The couple’s relationship was under strain due to the amount of time Paris was spending away from the States.
The hotel heiress also sparked rumours the relationship was on the rocks after she was spotted getting cosy with her ex Stavros Niarchos on a recent night out.
‘She has spent a lot of time in Britain and other places lately and they have grown apart,’ adds the pal.
Paris’ publicist Alanna McCarthy said the pai will ‘remain very good friends’.
