s club jo injured by ‘fan’
Jo O’Meara was left with a two-inch head wound after a ‘fan’ threw a glass object at her during a S Club 7 reunion gig.
The singer was rushed off the stage at the gig at Tokyo nightclub in Bradford and taken straight to hospital.
Jo was taking part in a reunion tour with former bandmates Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole when the incident happened 15 minutes into their set.
Police are looking into whether the assault was linked to last year’s Celebrity Big Brother race row which saw Shilpa Shetty being bullied by housemates Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo.
‘We were all having a great time until the incident and would like to apologise to our fans that our set was cut short,’ said Jo to The Sun.
A 20-year-old white male is being questioned by police.
