heartache as kym marsh loses baby
Kym Marsh has tragically lost the baby she was expecting.
The Corrie actress was rushed to hospital after going into labour 18 weeks early. Doctors fought to save Archie Jay but he died shortly after being born on Wednesday a Trafford General Hospital in Manchester. He was Kym’s first baby with Hollyoaks star, Jamie Lomas, and the pair are understandably devastated.
The 32-year-old, who plays the Street’s, Michelle Connor, sent a message to fans last night: “Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much. Thank you all for your support.”
Corrie bosses have already written her character out of the soap, and have told Kym to take as much time off as she needs.
It’s been a standing joke that there’s something in the water on the Corrie set - Kym was one of nine actors who were pregnant or had become parents in the last 12 months.
Kym’s ordeal is all the more heartbreaking with today’s news that Jack P Sheherd’s (David) girlfriend, Lauren, has given birth to a baby girl, and yesterday, Wanda Opalinska, who plays Vicky, had a son called Rafal. Also earlier this week, Kym’s good friend, Alison King, (Carla) gave birth to her first child, a baby girl.
