Isle of MTV - Malta Special 2009
Isle of MTV have released the line up for this years free concert scheduled to take place in Il-Fosos Square in Floriana, Malta. The 8th of July will see 50,000 people party to acts including The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Metro Station and Esmee Denters.
The Black Eyed Peas are especially excited to perform tracks from their new fifth studio album, ‘The E.N.D’, due for release in June. Frontman Will.I.Am says, “I can’t wait to take our new European inspired dance sound to Europe… I couldn’t think of a better place for our first Black Eyed Peas show in a long time.” Look out for the new single, ‘Boom Boom Pow’.
Lady Gaga is making a welcome return to Isle of MTV Malta after rave reviews for her performance at last year’s event. She looks set to follow on from this year’s successes with No.1 singles ‘Just Dance’ and ‘Pokerface’.
Metro Station, are bringing their energetic electronic dance-pop to Malta. “Shake It” has already become a Top 10 hit across Europe. With their self titled album going multi platinum.
Dutch singer-songwriter Esmée Denters is undoubtedly on her way to musical stardom and one to look out for! The 20 year-old started out posting videos of herself singing on YouTube and now can count some of the best-known songwriters and producers amongst her collaborators.
The whole weekend looks set a sun filled festival of music, food and entertainment!
All the festivities will be filmed by MTV for an hour long show to be broadcast on the network in September.

i’m excited that metro station and black eyed peas are coming but plssssssssss can you bring beyonce jay-z or miley. in malta not much people come and my wish is to see them perform.
