Playtex Moonwalk raises millions for breast cancer
Over 15,000 women and men walked the moonlit streets of London in decorated bra’s to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
In it’s 12th year, the Playtex Moonwalk 2009 was the most successful year yet generating over 6 million pounds in donations from the one event alone!
Celebrities Paul O’Grady and Sara Cox joined actresses Kate Magowan and Daisy Beaumont to power walk a full or half marathon across London with everyone sporting decorated bra’s.
Radio DJ Sara Cox said: “It was amazing! The last two miles were the toughest but the volunteers were incredible, their support really kept us going along the way. My friend Rosie and I did the Half Moon in just under four hours.”
