JULY 2nd: IT'S BEEN A WHILE I KNOW

Ok, i know i have been away and not told a soul but there are certain things that must be done without people knowing, and my private life is certainly one of them – for the moment.

All will become clear over the coming weeks but for now let’s just say it entails glamour, fame and lots of alcohol.  So have I been missing anything?

Once in a while we are treated to a feast of visual delights across numerous channels which when complied together produces a successful night in watching the box.  It was that long ago that we The Apprentice.  An aging bearded midget man that had been in the right place at the right time a zillion years ago and that was now trying to convince a bunch of arrogant, self impressed wannabes that they wanted nothing more in life than to work for him.  Combine that with other channels endless programs on building, buying, demolishing, decorating, re-decorating, re-selling and even buying some more properties along with makeovers, naked makeovers, almost naked makeovers and celebrity makeovers.  Throw in a dash of partner swapping and garnish with the prospect of watching  a selection of the worst dregs of the UK’s society and you actually had a decent night in.

What gets me is this kind of entertainment is becoming hard to find.  What i mean is that for the moment we really only have one or two shows at any one time that people want to watch.  There seems to be little competition between the channels anymore and when they do finally decide to go up against each other it’s for a period of 3-4 weeks ending in a return to more daytime crass programming and more repeats of what the programs they actually spent some money on.

Also, can someone please let me know which team Luke in Big Brother is batting for???  Just a question!
