LATEST: X FACTOR FAKER FORCED TO APOLOGISE

X Factor hopeful Alan Turner has come clean after reports emerged yesterday saying he lied in his audition.

The 23-year-old told the judges he grew up in a foster home and was desperate to meet his real family.

‘I want to get to know who my real family are.  I’d just love it if they were to get in touch with me and to say they did want to see me,’ said Alan on Saturday’s show.

But after Alan’s dad told the newspapers yesterday he was telling porkies, Alan has been forced to apologise.

‘I honestly didn’t mean to lie.  The emotion of the audition got to me.  I didn’t realise what I was saying would be taken that way,’ said Alan.

The contestant then made a desperate plea to producers to give him another chance, adding: ‘I’m not a bad person.  I never meant to deceive anyone.’

And Alan’s begging seemed to have done the trick as X Factor bosses will keep him on the show.

‘We are going to back him,’ said a source to the Daily Mirror.

A show’s spokesman added: ‘As far as we’re concerned Alan has not deceived us and this does not affect his place within the show.’

Ooooh, the drama!
