SOME NOT-VERY-SHOCKING ASHLEE AND PETE NEWS

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got hitched at the weekend in California – and they apparently confirmed to their guests that the singer IS pregnant with her first child.

Duh! 

The couple got married at Ashlee’s parents’ Joe and Tina’s California home on Saturday.

‘We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married in front of family and close friends,’ said their spokesman to People magazine.

Joe Simpson performed the non-denominational ceremony at the Alice in Wonderland themed wedding.

Ashlee’s sister Jessica, who was the maid of honour, attended the ceremony with her boyfriend To­ny Romo, despite rumours the pair had split.

Other guests included Nicole Richie and her boyfriend and Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.

Ashlee reportedly wore and ivory lace wedding gown by designer Monique Lhuiller and jewels by William Noble.
