SOME VERY EXCITING MADONNA NEWS

There might only be four minutes to save the world, but Madge fans have got just eight days to wait until they can buy tickets to her world tour.

And guess where she's kicking it off? Some mega venue in New York?

Nah, not a bit of it.

She's following on from the recent trend of getting things going in the UK (Sex And The City premiere anyone?) by launching her 27-date Sticky and Sweet tour in....Wales.

Yep, she'll be playing the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 23 August. She's also playing Wembley Stadium on September 11, European venues and then heads off to the US.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 16 May with prices for the Cardiff show starting at £55.

More than 1.3 million people went to her last tour in 2006. It made her the highest-grossing concert tour by a female artist at the time.

Her recent album, Hard Candy, went to No1 in the UK and, on Saturday, she headlines BBC Radio One's Big Weekend in Maidstone, Kent.

  Boo. Wanted to see her at the Big weekend but didn't get tickets, even though I live around the corner from Maidstone. Not happy!
